1. Log in
To log in to https://app.medbill.de, use the e-mail address saved in your profile. If you change this, you must use the new address to log in.
You will receive a one-time password (OTP) by SMS and e-mail, which you can use to complete your registration. If you are asked to enter the OTP again later, please enter this daily OTP again (until you receive a new one).
2. MedBill Help Centre
In the MedBill Help Centre you will find a constantly growing number of FAQs, i.e. answers to the most frequently asked questions. Please use these as a reference work, but also as a source of information. Browse through the MedBill Help Centre and read the questions to find out about the functions and subtleties of our app!

A recently added user said that she had really benefited from opening the main menu and its submenus just to see what’s there. I’m happy to pass this tip on.
3. Your profile and your data
To ensure that all functions can be used and that you can create and send correct and optimised invoices in no time at all, please fill in your profile carefully and make the desired settings. I assure you that we take all measures to protect your data and that we need all your data exclusively to create your invoices and to communicate with you for this purpose (e.g. transmission of the OTP and your reports).
4. Settings
MedBill offers many setting options. You can customise both the form and the content of your invoices (and payment reminders or reminders). It is best to take a look at the relevant pages, most of the settings are self-explanatory. Please note that there are general settings and invoice settings in the „Settings“ menu item and additional special invoice settings in the „Invoices“ menu item.
5. Create invoices
Now you can get started and „Create a new invoice“! I have credited your account with 10 MedBill points to start with so that you can practise and try it out a little. The points will only be deducted when you save the invoice. This means that you can try out an infinite number of things in the main area, namely creating and optimising GOÄ invoices, without using up any points. And also bear in mind that the number of points depends on the invoice total. So save invoices with small amounts when practising.
5.1 Selecting a template
Depending on the template selected, the appropriate sets or digits will be suggested. This makes your work much easier.
5.2 Patient data
Here you enter the patient data and, if necessary, a different invoice address or a different treatment location.
5.3 Basic data
The starting point address is used to calculate the distance for the travel allowance. We need the times in order to calculate the correct surcharges (e.g. for weekends and public holidays). You can also save the diagnosis(es) here.
5.4 Billing information
The purpose of this section is to select the numbers billed and to add the optimum increment rates and reasons. On the right-hand side you will see the „Smart GOÄ“ area, where you can see what other users have billed for this diagnosis. You will also find information on possible errors in your billing.
5.5 Invoice preview and sending
Saving the invoice takes you to the invoice preview, where you can make any final adjustments. For example, you can change the salutation, the personal message or the greeting. From here you can print the invoice or conveniently send it directly as a letter or e-mail from MedBill.
